MENAPAK: A Photography Exhibition by Ade Ardhana

Presented by Bumi Kinar in celebration of Earth Day

20.04–21.07.2025

A Rendang Spices Vase, 2023

In honour of Earth Day, Bumi Kinar is proud to present MENAPAK, a still life photography exhibition by young Balinese artist Ade Ardhana. Known for his thoughtful and poetic approach, Ade reimagines everyday objects, flowers, fruits, vegetables; as visual meditations on time, memory, and our relationship with the natural world.

MENAPAK, which means ‘tracing the earth’ in Indonesian, is a quiet journey into the traces we leave behind in nature and in life. With great sensitivity, Ade captures moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, encouraging us to reconnect with the natural world through attention and presence.

About the Exhibition:

About Ade Ardhana

Hailing from Denpasar, Bali, Ade has been dedicated to still life photography since 2015. For him, photography is not just a creative outlet, but a way of life. Through his lens, ordinary forms become symbols, inviting us to slow down and reflect on the beauty that exists in stillness, silence, and simplicity.

A Space Where Art Meets Nature

Bumi Kinar Gallery, located within the tranquil grounds of Bumi Kinar Resort in Ubud, was created as a space to support artists and foster meaningful connections between art, nature, and local culture. Its vision is rooted in the spirit of Kinar Village, our certified organic farming initiative, where sustainability is not just practiced, but lived.

MENAPAK reflects this shared ethos. It is more than an art exhibition, it is a space for reflection, inspiration, and a deeper awareness of the Earth and our place within it.

Step into MENAPAK — trace the quiet beauty and unseen moments of the exhibition. Join Ade Ardhana as he reimagines nature through still life
